Statoil’s website is the group’s official global channel of communication with shareholders, partners, employees, media & press and other stakeholders. As part of their IT strategy, Statoil needed to switch the operation of websites to the cloud.

As part of the transformation to the cloud, a new concept and design was developed by Scandinavian Design Group (SDG). Capgemini was responsible for development and implementation of new sites based on the concept that was created by SDG. The result is a product of good and close cooperation between SDG, Capgemini and designers, art directors, content producers, editors, project managers and product owners in Statoil.

The new website was developed with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript) on the client side, and Adobe Experience Manager on the server side.

The new website for Statoil has been awarded with a Special Kudos from CSSDesignAwards.
